2026 Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta

Be part of the 54th Annual Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta! The largest canoe and kayak race in Texas returns to Houston’s most significant natural waterway on March 21, 2026. Join this fun-filled tradition and support BBP’s ongoing work creating and stewarding parks, trails, and unique destinations along the bayou.

Schedule of Events

Starting Line:  7700 San Felipe (1/4 mile west of Voss)

Race Day Registration: 7 – 8:45am

Start Time: 9:00am

Finish Line and Awards Ceremony: 11am – 2:30pm

Downtown at Allen’s Landing (1019 Commerce Street at Main Street)

Awards Ceremony: 1:30pm

Note of the new start time of 8am for Non-Competitive and Day-of-Registrants

The race begins at 8am with 4 starts. ALL starts will be in-water.

8:00am: Non-Competitive and Day-of Registrants

9:00am: Tandem Kayaks and Solo Kayaks

9:10am: Team Sponsor Canoes and Tandem Canoes

9:20m: Solo Unlimited and Performance Unlimited

The 2026 race will begin along Buffalo Bayou at San Felipe and Voss and end at Allen’s Landing. View the 15-mile race route here.

Free parking is located at the Starting Line (7700 San Felipe).

A complimentary shuttle service is available at the Finish Line to transport paddlers back to pick up their cars.

Additional details will be shared with registrants one week prior to the event.
